Public notice of problems?

I had the same problem as another poster (Clock error using Chrome). This problem prevented me from logging in to my store and the forums (so I could not add my input on the other discussion). Also it denied potential customers from accessing the cart in my store. The problem began on Sunday 8/27 and continued through Monday. Today , Tuesday 8/29, it appears to have been fixed as i now can log in as usual.

My two question are:

1 - When there are site wide problems, is there an announcement board (that does not require a log in) somewhere that notifies users of the problem? Otherwise, I spend a fair amount of time trying to determine if the problem is at my end rather than at Goodsie.

2 - In a case like this where I could not safely log in, how can I contact Goodsie to report or follow up on the problem?
