Shipping and taxes
Hey again Tatiana!
I managed to sign up different shipping fees and taxes for
different countries.
However I am still a little bit confused and I was hoping that you
could help me making one or two things clear.
So I am selling paintings on my website. I will be shipping them
from France to France/scandinavia/USA and canada. I have created
different groups under shipping and taxes depending on country.
Moreoever, I have a fixed price for each painting and I want to add
an extra cost for shipping depinding on country. However it seems
that I can only do that through the tax column and that is really
not correct. Moreover, I must add the percentage and I have no idea
what the percentage is in the USA etc. I want to make it simple. I
do not run this site through a company. Its a thing next to my
"normal" job.
So what do I do? I want it to be simple and clear! For me and also
for my clients. Do I ignore the shipping cost and just write 0 in
fees and then add a percentage (the price I want for shipping)
under taxes?
I will be sending the items via COLISSIMO as most of my clients
live in France/Scandinavia. However COLISSIMO also have COLISSIMO
international which allows me to send to the USA and CANADA. So can
I add their loggo next to each product?
Moreover, I am still waiting for paypal to send me my 4 digital
codes so I can connect my paypal account to goodsie.
I think you already told me once that it is easy to connect that
account to the goodsie right? Is it anything I should think about
or anything that I should be careful with as I am doing this? I
never had a paypal account so this is all new for me.
Thank you for your help and please send me the help goodise
address again because the one that you sent me dosent work.
All the bes

Applying shipping settings via the tax setting is not recommended. If you would like to calculate costs by percentage, you can select the "Percentage" radio button below the Per Cart Fee field. Does this help address your issue? Let us know if you need further help!

Please navigate to this page to add a shipping rule: http://goodsie.com/admin/settings/shippingtax and click on "add another shipping rule." Under the field called "Per Cart Fee" is a small button next to the word "percentage." This will apply a percentage cost, rather than a flat rate, to the item for shipping. You can set this up for each different shipping rule you have for each region. Does this help clarify?

Dear heatherCan you please have a look at my settings? I have created 4 different shipping groups. At first I added the per item fee type depending on shipping group (USA, Scandinavia, France and canada). I dont really see a difference in choosing percentage and per item fee type. It is just two different ways of adding a shipping cost. What I want to be sure about is that the shipping costs are different for each group. I know that it is the client that choose which shipping group he/she wants to sign up for. However what if an american client choose the shipping cost for France (a lower shipping cost)?? Can she/he do that? If this is the case then I have to decide on a shipping cost that is applicable to all countries.
Thank you heather for your help!Set

Hi Set,
If you want to offer shipping to France, USA, Scandinavia, and Canada on all of your products, you will need to place each of those Shipping Rules into one Shipping Group. Then apply the Shipping Group to each product on their edit pages at http://goodsie.com/admin/products.
Right now it is up to the customer to select the proper shipping rule. We will be adding improvements to this down the road that will help ensure that customers choose the appropriate shipping rule for their location.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi Set,
I'm sorry, but we don't currently support an option to move the Facebook and Twitter buttons. Thank you for your feedback though!
