Multiple Product Pages
I want my store to offer several categories of products- clothing, art, vintage home goods, accessories. I dont necessarily want all the categories to lump together on the main page (prior to choosing its appropriate category to sort). Is there a way to have different category product pages for each of those within one Goodsie shop? Or would that require me to have several Goodsie shops for each category?
My other question that relates to that- I want to highlight my portfolio, which features multiple images that are not for sale-just a gallery display. Is there a way to include this on its own page too, or would that have to be on my own website, and iFraming the Goodsie shop in separately for the shop/purchase portion?
Thanks in advance for your help!

That's my exact question too! What is the deal? and can I easily move things from the "for sale" page to the "gallery" page - that I don't even know how to set up yet!

Hi there,
Yes indeed! You can create as many Listing pages as you'd like, and select to display one Category of goods on each under Pages > Manage. I've attached a screenshot of the design panel to illustrate this feature.
Right now you can add images to Plain Text pages with the HTML img scr tag: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images.asp. And we provide a help article on how to embed images at http://help.goodsie.com/kb/pages-listings/set-a-welcome-image-as-yo.... If you'd like help getting started, please feel free to send us a link to an image you'd like to place on your storefront. :)

Hi Katie,
Thanks, I eventually got the hang of it. But, can you please tell me how to
get rid of the opaque box/div in the center? I want it to be completely
clear, or non -existent. I dont mind if you send me the coding so I can
alter it later if need be.
Thanks!
Milda

Hi Milda,
You can remove your blank home page in the design panel under Pages > Manage > and click the X next to Home.

Hi Katie,
Im not looking to get rid of the homepage, just the semi-opaque div (that
is supposed to contain something, but mine does not) in the center. Its
making my background more opaque. Can I override this block?
Thanks,
Milda

Hi Milda,
You can change the Store opacity to 0 under Design > Colors > Custom, then you should be all set!

Hi,
Awesome! thanks for the quick replies. Two more questions if you dont mind:
- how do you center your image (when its code is inputted on a text page?)
it seems to align left for me on my blog page and I would like for it to
center.
- also, if I d/l a GIF image with a clear background, is there a way to
keep its background clear as it floats over the background? It
automatically programs white...
Thanks, ladies! Love the site so far!

Hi,
Sorry, last one. I am also creating a page for my portfolio, with images
that I dont want a cost listed. Any way to have this not display? I cant
seem to not enter a value here.
Thanks,
Milda

Hi Milda,
Unfortunately not, unless you were to mark the items as "coming soon"

Thank you!
As it turns out, however, I did label them as "coming soon" but the price
still lists. Any way around it? Also, I had sent an email with the previous
questions, whenever you get a chance:
- how do you center your image (when its code is inputted on a text page?)
it seems to align left for me on my blog page and I would like for it to
center.
- also, if I d/l a GIF image with a clear background, is there a way to
keep its background clear as it floats over the background? It
automatically programs white...
Thank You,
Milda

Hi Milda,
Ah, apologies. I'm afraid the price cannot be hidden in any status.
Have you attempted using this HTML to center your images? http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_center.asp
When adding an image with a clear background, is this on a page? I was not able to reproduce that issue. Please attach the image in question. Thanks!

Thanks, Heather! I think the tag might work, I will try it out later today.
The image in question (a GIF) is attached. Can you advise if it can "float"
without white added to the background?
Thanks,
Milda

Hi Milda,
I was able to add that image to a page without losing the clear background. Can you please provide a link to the page where you have attempted to do this? Thanks.
