How do I improve my store's SEO (search engine optimization)?
The Goodsie team is continually taking measures to improve our SEO (search engine optimization) to make sure that your store and products can be easily found by potential customers across the web. In addition, there are a few things that you can do to help this along:
Title: The title that you enter under Name in the Details section of the design panel displays as the title of your shop in web browsers and is the default title used by search engines. Be sure to enter your store's name here, even if you have uploaded a banner image or logo that includes your store name (humans can read images, but search engines can't).
Custom Metadata: Under the About menu in the design panel is a "Metadata" section. Here you can enter a description of your store, which will be pulled by search engines as the description for your store on the search results page if your custom description is deemed more relevant than other information contained on your site. Be sure to include common descriptive terms to sum up your store, your philosophy, and the goods you carry. If you want the title in search engines to be different than the title that displays in your storefront, you can change that in the Metadata section as well.
In-bound Links: Having an excellent product that gets people talking (and linking) is of course another great help. Perfect your product, describe it well, then get the word out through the Share function, Coupons, emails and more to increase the number of mentions of and links to your store across the web.
